Funny Weather at M+
M+ has just announced Theo Triantafyllidis’ Funny Weather for its monumental facade overlooking Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour in autumn 2027: the first of four institutional announcements for the project.
I’ve been developing and producing Funny Weather with Theo over the past months, and it’s good to finally start sharing where it’s going. The work is a live simulation driven by real-time atmospheric data, taking different forms across places, architectures and conditions. In Hong Kong, it will become part of the skyline.
Commissioned by M+ in collaboration with ACMI and Onassis ONX, with production led by Factory International.
